From July 12 to 13, Wynn is thrilled to present ‘Master Mixology Weekend’ – a captivating cocktail experience with a series of guest mixologist pop-ups starring top talents in Asia’s bar scene, including award-winning bartenders from Hong Kong’s Socio, Singapore’s Cat Bite Club, and Delhi’s Sidecar at Wynn Palace’s SW Bar at SW Steakhouse, Wing Lei Bar and Palace Reserve Club respectively.

Additionally, masterclasses will be held for industries experts to stimulate conversations between mixologists from Macao and around the region while offering them the exceptional opportunity to expand their knowledge on cocktail cultures with three of the guest mixologists. By welcoming international talents from the bar industry for this remarkable series of guest shifts in July and the upcoming months, Wynn aims to foster deeper integration of tourism and gastronomy and to promote Macao’s development as a ‘Creative City of Gastronomy’.

The mixologist line-up for the ‘Master Mixology Weekend’ includes:

Amir Javaid of Socio (Hong Kong)

Amir Javaid has over 15 years of experience in the hospitality scene and has held notable bartending experiences in the United Kingdom, Thailand, and Hong Kong, and has worked with major gin brands in ambassadorial roles. As the co-founder of Socio which opened in March 2024, Javaid leads one of Hong Kong’s newest bars that focuses on unique spirits and botanicals from various parts of the Asia Pacific region and sustainable practices. Nominated by the Time Out Hong Kong Bar Awards as one of Hong Kong’s Best Innovative Bars and Rising Stars in 2024, the inspiration behind Socio’s cocktail menu is the diverse and unique flavors of surrounding regions, including Australia, Sri Lanka, Korea, India, Hong Kong, Japan, Indonesia, and Vietnam. On July 12 and 13, Wynn guests will get the pleasure of experiencing Socio’s distinctive cocktails in Amir’s guest shift at the bar of SW Steakhouse.

Jesse Vida of Cat Bite Club (Singapore)

Jesse Vida is the co-founder and mastermind behind Cat Bite Club, a bar that focuses on the creation of cocktails that are playful, intriguing, unpredictable yet delicious. With over 17 years of bartending experience, Jesse provides guests with a sophisticated drinking experience with agave and rice spirit-based beverages. Through honing his skills in top-tier cities like San Francisco, New York and Singapore, Jesse has earned himself recognition on the World’s 50 Best Bars list and the prestigious title of ‘World’s Best Cocktail Menu’ by Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards for his innovative menus. During his time at Wynn, Jesse will bring in his classic flavors and innovative cocktails to Wynn’s guests at Wing Lei Bar.

Lopsang Galchen Lama and Shubham Meisnam of Sidecar (Delhi)

Sidecar is an artisanal cocktail bar in Delhi, India run by a team of talented mixologists. Ranked 18th on the list of Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2023 and topped the 30 Best Bars India for several times, Sidecar has cemented its reputation as a pioneer in the cocktail scene in India. Sidecar is dedicated to producing the finest craft cocktails that incorporate its own house-made flavor extractions like bitters and syrups. For this Master Mixology Weekend, Sidecar is sending its Beverage Innovations Manager Shubham Meisnam, who has over eight years of bartending experience, as well as its Bar Manager, Lopsang Galchen Lama, who was recognized as the Bartender of the Year in 2019 by India Nightlife Convention and Award. These two talented mixologists will join hands to present Sidecar’s unique signature drinks on July 12 and 13 at Palace Reserve Club.
