Almost all types of food crops can be cultivated in this region. Therefore, before getting acquainted with a variety of modern dishes, the Manggarai people have for generations had food that was mixed and processed from various agricultural products and natural products around them. Here we introduce you to some of the traditional dishes or dishes of the Manggarai people, especially those that are increasingly rare.

On this occasion, Sudamala Resort Komodo held the Flores Food Promotion as a way for us to really appreciate the heritage of ancestral flavours so that they can be known and passed on by the next generation. Here are some local foods that will be served where all meals were cooked by Mrs Margaretha Subekti whom usually called by Oma Bekti Who has been exploring local culinary delights in the areas of Larantuka, Solor, Adonara and Lembata since 1991.
