The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali, is thrilled to announce an exclusive collaboration with renowned pastry chef Vinesh Johny, Co-founder of Lavonne Academy of Baking Science & Pastry Arts, India. Chef Vinesh has crafted an array of exquisite new desserts for The Lobby Bar & Lounge, set to debut in August 2024.
Hailing from Bangalore, Chef Vinesh Johny is celebrated for his pioneering contributions to pastry arts in India. He holds a degree in Hotel Management from Christ University and co-founded Lavonne Academy of Baking Science & Pastry Arts and Lavonne Cafe, significantly transforming India’s dessert culture.
Chef Vinesh has significantly influenced the pastry standards across Marriott Hotels in South India through training workshops and kitchen takeovers. His accolades include being among the top three Indians featured in Forbes “Asia 30 Under 30” in 2016, and the only Indian in the All Star Alumni of Forbes Asia in 2017 and 2019. Other recognitions include CNN India’s “20 under 40” in 2017, Condé Nast India’s “40 Under 40” in 2019, and Culinary Culture’s Food Superstars: India’s Top 30 Chefs in 2022. Most recently, he was awarded Restaurateur of the Year at the Times Food Awards in 2023.
On August 8th, Chef Vinesh Johny and the Lavonne Academy team, in collaboration with The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali’s own pastry chef Michael Leuwol, will introduce a variety of delectable new desserts at The Westin’s Lobby Lounge. Starting from the 10th, guests can look forward to a delightful menu served from 11 AM to 6 PM, featuring both traditional and contemporary treats.
