Basically, anything you need is only a few steps away from where you stand. The public attractions, shops, fancy and local restaurants, and even medical centres – all are accessible to walk in less than 15 minutes. You will not be afraid to miss any of the holiday spirits.

During our stay, we got to start the morning with a refreshing shower in the fully-fitted lux bathroom. While preparing to start the day, parents can catch up on the latest business and entertainment news with the 49-inch Smart TV with international cable and local channels. Kids can also watch international cartoon channels on the living room TV (our kids enjoyed this!).

The 58-sqm One-Bedroom Premier Suites gives everyone the space they need to spread out and relax. A separate lounge area is available where you can spend valuable time with your loved ones. Big, bright and airy, this space gave more than enough space for our active kids to run around.

Each suite features a comprehensive suite of amenities, inclusive of complimentary Wi-Fi; a fully-equipped kitchen with a fine selection of kitchenware including Nespresso® coffee machine, electric kettle, oven, rice cooker and crockery; refrigerator; in-room safe as well as a washer/dryer. One of the highlights would be the Bacha coffee and TWG tea bags available in the room.

Culinary Journey

Their signature restaurant, Collective, is a 74-seater restaurant located in the Lobby on Level 7, offering modern international cuisine hidden from the hustle and bustle of the central business district. Coming up with an urban style, the ambience is elegant.

Helmed by Executive Sous Chef Dexter Lim, expect a vast presentation of sumptuous breakfast options from Western to local selections available to power up mornings, while modern international dishes are served for lunch and dinner.

My recommended dish is their Nasi Lemak. The rice was fluffy and came with all the right spices. Paired with a healthy heaping of their house-made sambal, each spoonful was rich and savoury with a slight sweetness from the chilli. This has made it to the top of my list of must-attempt restaurants in Singapore!

You can also start your day with a selection of Starbucks® favourite beverages from the “We Proudly Serve Starbucks®” programme as part of the complimentary breakfast buffet at the Collective – Dao by Dorsett AMTD Singapore being the first hotel to offer this.

Kids’ Activities

This aparthotel is committed to consistently upgrading its facilities for the enjoyment of families alike. Dao by Dorsett AMTD Singapore offers tons of options to keep your little champs busy. The fact that they don’t have a kid’s club doesn’t limit the activities for your children. In fact, to keep the ‘home sweet home’ vibe, the hotel prepares a ‘Toy Collection’ for them to play around with during their stay. They’ve put together a depository of toys and kids’ amenities, such as electric cars or motorbikes, play tents, puzzles and many more – all for complimentary loans! What is even more wonderful is that parents can accompany their little ones in the activities, thus spending some much-needed quality time with them. We rented an electric car for my kids which they just played with all day – almost skipping lunch and dinner!

Plant Library

One of the more unique offerings is their Plant Library. In line with Dao by Dorsett AMTD Singapore’s approach to living harmoniously with the environment, they’ve introduced a custom-built Dao Plant Library in the lobby at level 7. Few hotels can boast of this! Open to first-time plant parents and gardening experts alike, you can opt to adopt and look after your own house plant, during your stay. If you’ve got green fingers, ask the staff to find out how you can adopt a plant during your stay!

Pools for Everyone

If you are tired after a long day of travelling or sightseeing, you can easily refresh yourself with a soothing dip at the infinity pool overlooking the city skylines. With beautiful designs and indulgent features, this hotel pool takes relaxation and swimming to another level. There is a balance of sun-drenched and shaded areas bordering the pool and the relaxing sound of nature complete this rejuvenating and relaxing experience.

For the fitness junkies, you don’t have to miss out on your exercise regime while on your vacation. This hotel offers a well-equipped fully functional gym and a fitness centre around the clock.
